  • Chholiya Dance Training Workshop

With the support of Government and our sponsors we keep   encouraging and promoting the ancient folk dance of Uttarakhand i.e. Chholiya Dance. We provide opportunities to amateur artists to display their talents at national and international levels. We provide opportunities for elders to transmit traditional knowledge and skills to younger generations to create a supportive and respectful environment for the presentation of folk, both tangible and intangible.

Diyaa focuses on encouraging and promoting the ancient folk dance of Uttarakhand Chholiya Dance. We provide opportunities to amateur artists to display their talents at national and international levels and to increase awareness of the rich and diverse culture that defines India through classes, seminars, symposia, exhibition, folk art markets, culinary events and demonstrations. We give special attention to the development of cultural faculties in children and youth who are our hopes for the future.

  • We Draw

Social awareness plays a significant role in the way students behave. It also impacts their performance in academics. Socially aware students are more open to engaging and communicating with other students in the school. With a vision to spread awareness among the youth, in year 2012 Diyaa started its first school based awareness programme called We-Draw and enrolled more than 12000 student from schools in Khatima, Sitarganj, Nanakmatha and Rudrapur.

We-Draw is an art-competition-event for students where they are given concurrent topics to draw painting in their respective groups. All the participants get their participation certificates but the winners from schools goes to district level and fights for the state level. All the winners are felicitated with Awards.

 

  • Sanitary Pad Distribution (Amycare)

With a vision to empower women, especially in the rural & urban areas of the country, Diyaa collaborates with Aabhar International and in year 2019 established their own factory for manufacturing Menstruation PAD called Amycare in Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand. The eco-friendly and high quality Pad (Amycare) is being distributed in remote areas for free by Diyaa NGO and is also available in market in very economical rates to give its access to all.

 

  • Shop for a Cause

NGO Products of Diyaa is a social enterprise and the inception of this venture was driven by the idea of delivering quality useful products including Handicrafts, Household Goods, Food Products and Clothes etc. Diyaa works with small local NGOs in Uttarakhand ensuring transparent intermediary. We keep the cost of our products as low as permitted by the market competition. We promote Indian Art and culture via our handicraft products.
